Jasper Philipsen claimed Stage 17 of the 2026 Tour de France in a fast dash to the line. It was his first victory at this year's race. The stage finished with a duel between Philipsen and Mads Pedersen. Philipsen described the ride physically gruelling. The UCI defended after-hours doping tests conducted after the stage in response to concerns raised after the finish. Lidl-Trek surpassed UAE Team Emirates in the team standings. Jordan Jegat was less visible in the general standings. EF Pro Cycling gave a statement on the final result.
