Steve Smith has become the fifth-fastest batsman to reach 11,000 runs in Test cricket. He has joined Ricky Ponting and Allan Border in an exclusive Australian Test club. The milestone was achieved during Australia's second Test against South Africa, where Australia was all out for 99 in the first innings. Smith's rare feat came amid a batting collapse, marking his entry into the club. This achievement adds to his already impressive career, showcasing his durability and talent on the cricket field.
