Theme slogan is Strengthened by First Nations. Moments. Connections. Stories.. The VFL also marks the round across men's and women's seasons. The event has evolved from a single Indigenous Round in 2007 to honor Sir Doug Nicholls in 2016. AFL launches 2026 Sir Doug Nicholls Round at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne venues.
