alpentine.comwas seen at the studio release that propelled him into prominence, the Canadian violinist and composer transitioned from the project Final Fantasy to releasing music under his own name and released his second solo album He Poos Clouds which earned the Polaris Prize in 2006 and featured string-quartet arrangements themed around Dungeons & Dragons magic schools. During 2020 he released the surprise album Island with the LCO at Abbey Road, after scoring for Arcade Fire, Caribou, and Frank Ocean, and a film scoring nomination related to Her. Earlier collaborations include film scores and concert works, notable performances and commissions spanning 2011–2019.
