Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and sailors serving aboard the USS Tripoli returned to the United States on Wednesday. They wrapped up tours assigned to the 5th and 7th Fleets. Meanwhile, thousands of Marines and sailors stationed in Okinawa returned to Japan after missions tied to the Iran situation. The Tripoli pulled in at its home port in Okinawa, concluding its deployment. The U.S. Marines and the Royal Australian Air Force completed joint drills at Dyess under the Trident Fury program this week. In Vancouver, the police marine unit rescued a one-week-old seal pup that had been left alone.
