A federal judge turned down laws pushed by Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker. The provisions let undocumented students pay cheaper in-state tuition at public universities. Prior court rulings also struck down Illinois’ sanctuary laws and other Pritzker steps on immigration. The Trump administration has also been winning similar cases. The Illinois Attorney General has not commented yet.
