Users worldwide report problems with Instagram including login failures and timed-out content. Downdetector data shows a sudden rise in outage reports over the past hours. Both the app and website appear affected simultaneously. Meta has still not release a statement about the disruption as of 22 July 2026. Cases reported have been noted across its parent platform, Messenger and Instagram at the same time.
