An amateur skygazer using Google Maps stumbled upon a broad ring-shaped dent in northern Quebec. Specialists from Quebec’s geological survey authenticated it is a massive meteorite impact crater dating back 390 million years near Lake Mistassini. The scar on the landscape mirrors other confirmed craters and points to a violent prehistoric strike. Satellite images were it thoroughly cross-referenced field data to confirm the result.
