Ed Harris complained initially about his limited part in the new show in Dutton Ranch, the Yellowstone spin-off. He thought the role was meaningless and demanded to quit. Harris told Variety, 'bluntly Get me the f- out of here' as he threw his hands up. He later decided to return for Season 2 to come back for the next season. The show’s boss reworked the narrative and gave his character additional depth. That change made Harris decide to stay. Deadline now says he will return to the part.
