Award-winning historian and La Trobe University Professor Clare Wright OAM has been appointed Chair of the Council of the National Museum of Australia

Her work includes ABC history programs, including Utopia Girls and The War That Changed Us. She earned a PhD from the University of Melbourne, leading public history initiatives at La Trobe since 2022, she has been on the NMA Council. In 2020 she received the Medal of the Order of Australia. for her services to literature and historical research.
